    World Travel Market 2017

    World Travel Market 2017

    A Moldovan delegation represented by six travel and wine companies is attending the World Travel Market (WTM 2017) - the UK’s leading travel trade event, during 6-8 November 2017 in London. This annual event gathers more than 2,800 participants from 80 countries and offers the opportunity to discover the world and to attract foreign tourists. It is noted that the International Wine Tourism Conference will be held in 2018 in Chisinau, and the participation of Moldovan economic operators at WTM follows on from a series of initiatives to promote the Republic of Moldova as an attractive destination for tourism.

    NB: Moldovan economic operators attending the WTM: Ways Travel, Solei Tourism, Silenius/Wintertours Moldova, Tatra Bis, Visit Moldova/Amadeus Travel and Cricova Vin.

    • British actor awarded for his work in Moldova

      Tony Hawks, the British actor and comedian, was awarded the British Empire Medal by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in recognition of his support for children with disabilities in the Republic of Moldova, as well as of all support provided by the Tony Hawks Centre in Chisinau.

      On 22 August, Vilen Murzac, Charge d`affaires a.i., visited Spanish Embassy in London and expressed full solidarity with the Spanish colleagues, on the occasion of the appauling terrorist acts commited in Barcelona and Cambrils on 17 August 2017. Mr Murzac signed the book of condolences in memory of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the attacks.
