In order to mitigate the adverse effects of brain drain among young people, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in partnership with the National Employment Agency (NEA), as well as with the Ministry of Education (MEd), Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS) and Academy of Science of Moldova (ASM) in October 2010 advertised the program which promotes and facilitates the temporary and permanent return and professional reintegration of 30 Moldovan overseas graduates.
On June 22, 2011, Mrs. Mihaela Manoli, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy, participated at the event organised by the Royal Institute of International Affairs Chatham House in London with the special guest, Mr. János Martonyi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, who delievered a speech titled "Success lies in a stronger Europe".
On June 21, 2011, Mrs. Mihaela Manoli, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy, participated at the working reunion organized by the Austrian Embassy for the Heads of the Diplomatic Missions of the Central European Initiative states in London.
On June 13, 2011, Mr. Vladimir SACAGIU, First Secretary of the Embassy, participated at the public lecture organised by the London School of Economics with the key-presentation made by the President of the ECB Jean-Claude TRICHET titled “The euro, its central bank and economic governance”.
PARALLAX AFis a „curated” international art fair. What makes the event unique is that it explores new theories in art history and the „art” of contemporary art. It takes place three times a year in London and will also be held in New York from summer 2012.
On June 13-19, 2011, in Cardiff, Wales, there takes place the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World 2011, where the Republic of Moldova is represented by the soprano Valentina Naforniţă.
